This Privacy Policy explains how Coflowy LLC ("Coflowy," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit coflowy.org, take one of our quizzes, or subscribe to our educational email or text messages (together, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. What Coflowy Is

Coflowy publishes free educational content about personal finance — budgeting, saving, spending awareness, and how everyday money decisions compound over time. We deliver that content through articles, quizzes, email, and an optional text message program.

We are not a lender, broker, insurer, credit bureau, debt relief provider, or financial institution, and we do not offer, sell, recommend, or arrange financial products. We do not operate a comparison engine, we do not present offers, and we do not run an affiliate or lead-generation program on this site. Content is for informational purposes only and does not constitute financial, legal, or tax advice.

Coflowy LLC is part of the Neoage group of companies. Other brands in the group operate their own separate websites under their own separate privacy policies. This Policy governs coflowy.org only.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly

• Quiz responses. The answers you select when you take a quiz. These are multiple-choice questions about money habits. We do not ask for your income, account balances, debt amounts, credit score, or credit situation.
• First name and email address, so we can send you your results.
• Mobile phone number — optional. Only if you choose to provide it. You receive your quiz results whether or not you provide a phone number.
• Messages you send us, such as an email to our support address.

2.2 Information collected automatically

• IP address and approximate location derived from it (not precise geolocation).
• Browser type, operating system, device type, and language.
• Pages viewed, links clicked, time on page, and referring URL.
• Campaign attribution parameters (for example utm_source, utm_medium, utm_campaign) when you arrive from an advertisement or link.

2.3 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to keep the site working, remember where you are in a quiz, measure traffic, and understand which content is useful. We use analytics and tag management services (such as Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager) for these purposes. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may not work correctly if you do.

2.4 Consent and compliance metadata

When you check the SMS consent box, we record evidence of that consent: the date and time in UTC, your IP address, your browser user agent, the phone number in E.164 format, the exact consent language displayed to you at that moment, a version identifier for that language, and the URL of the page where you gave consent. We keep these records to demonstrate compliance with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and to respond to legal or carrier inquiries.

3. How We Use Information

• To calculate and deliver your quiz results.
• To send you the educational content you asked for by email and, if you opted in, by text message.
• To choose which educational topics to send you, based on your quiz answers.
• To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Services.
• To measure how our content and campaigns perform, in aggregate.
• To detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and technical problems.
• To comply with legal obligations, including consent recordkeeping and responding to lawful requests.

4. How We Disclose Information

4.1 Service providers

We share information with vendors that process it on our behalf and only under our instructions: hosting and content delivery, email delivery, SMS/messaging platforms and the telecommunications carriers required to transmit messages, analytics, customer support tooling, and security services. These providers are contractually limited to using the information to provide their service to us.

4.2 Within the Neoage group

We may share information with affiliated companies within the Neoage group for infrastructure, security, analytics, and compliance support. Affiliates receiving information for these purposes may not use your mobile number or SMS consent to market their own products to you.

4.3 Legal, safety, and rights protection

We may disclose information when we believe in good faith that it is necessary to comply with law, a subpoena, or other legal process; to enforce our Terms of Use; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Coflowy, our users, or the public.

4.4 Business transfers

If Coflowy is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of assets, information may be transferred as part of that transaction. Any acquirer would remain bound by the commitments in Section 5 with respect to information collected under this Policy, or you would be notified and given a choice before any material change.

6. SMS Messaging

Additional details about the program: consent is never a condition of receiving your quiz results or any other content. Providing a mobile number is optional. Message frequency varies but will not exceed 8 messages per month. Messages contain educational personal finance content only — no offers, promotions, or third-party products. If you change or give up your mobile number, please let us know at support@coflowy.org so we can update our records.

7. Email Communications

When you complete a quiz we email you your results and, from time to time, additional educational content. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and we honor unsubscribe requests promptly in accordance with the CAN-SPAM Act. We may still send transactional messages necessary to respond to a request you made.

8. Consent Recordkeeping

We retain the consent evidence described in Section 2.4 for five years after our last communication with you, or longer where a legal obligation or an active dispute requires it. These records exist to prove that consent was freely given and to defend against claims; they are not used for marketing.

9. U.S. State Privacy Rights

The Services are intended for residents of the United States who are at least 18 years old.

9.1 California (CCPA / CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to or a copy of it, to request correction of inaccurate information, to request deletion, to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, to limit the use of sensitive personal information, and not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights.

Categories of personal information we collect: identifiers (name, email address, optional phone number, IP address); internet and network activity (pages viewed, clicks, referring URL); approximate geolocation derived from IP address; and inferences drawn from quiz answers, used only to choose which educational topic to send you.

Sale and sharing: we do not sell personal information, and we do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not knowingly collect or process sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA. See our Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page, which is provided so the disclosure and the request channel are available to you regardless.

9.2 Other U.S. states

Residents of Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, Texas, Oregon, Montana, and other states with comprehensive privacy laws have comparable rights to access, correct, delete, and obtain a portable copy of their personal information, and to opt out of targeted advertising, sale, and certain profiling. We do not conduct targeted advertising or profiling that produces legal effects. To exercise any right, contact us using Section 17.

9.3 How to submit a request

Email support@coflowy.org with the subject line "Privacy Request" and tell us which right you want to exercise. We will verify your request by matching the information you give us against our records, and we may ask for additional information for verification and fraud prevention. We respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. Authorized agents may submit requests on your behalf with proof of authorization.

10. Data Retention and Deletion

We keep information only as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy: quiz answers and contact details while your subscription is active and for a reasonable period afterward; consent records for five years after last contact as described in Section 8; and analytics data in aggregated or de-identified form. You may request deletion at any time using Section 9.3, subject to records we are legally required to keep.

11. Information Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect information, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege access for personnel. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

12. Your Choices and Controls

• Text messages: reply STOP to any message to stop receiving them.
• Email: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
• Cookies: block or delete them in your browser settings.
• Global Privacy Control: we honor GPC signals sent by your browser where applicable.
• Everything else: email support@coflowy.org.

13. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

14. International Users

The Services are intended for users in the United States and our systems are operated in the United States. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand that your information will be processed in the United States under U.S. law.

15. Third-Party Links

Our educational content may link to third-party resources such as government agencies or nonprofit financial education organizations. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or privacy practices. Links are provided for reference and are not endorsements or recommendations of any financial product.

16. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date above reflects the most recent version. If we make a material change to how we handle your mobile number or SMS consent, we will notify subscribers before the change takes effect.
